Holman Insurance Brokers Ltd. has an exclusive program for Foreign Legal Consultant as defined by the Law Society of Ontario By-Law 14. Professional Liability Insurance (sometimes referred to as Errors and Omissions Insurance) protects Licensed Foreign Legal Consultant from incidents arising from services rendered as a Foreign Legal Consultant subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions under the policy. It protects you for liability arising from negligence while rendering or failure to render professional services. 
Professional Liability Insurance for Foreign Legal Consultant is effected with certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London, England.
Coverage is provided for damages resulting from negligent acts, errors or omissions in the conduct of professional services acting as a Foreign Legal Consultant including cost of defense even where the insured is found at fault.  Prior acts coverage is also included which covers claims arising from acts, errors or omissions committed or alleged to have been committed prior to the inception date of the insurance and which are unknown at the time of the insurance application.

Limits Available: 
$1,000,000 per claim / $2,000,000 annual aggregate
Defence costs and other payments are included in the policy limit

Deductible $5,000

Our coverage meets the requirements of Law Society of Ontario and includes the required 60 days notice of cancellation to LSO and the requirements for all other Law Societies in other provinces across Canada.
